This variety of kale called Western Front Kale is a cross among Scotch, Russian, and Siberians kales. It mostly resembles Red Russian Kale with its purple-veined leaves, and taste that is a bit sweeter and more tender than some other kale varieities.

Store in the refrigerator, and the produce will stay fresh for 1 week. If leaves are wilted, you can try to soak them in cool water to revive them.

The produce may arrive washed or unwashed, but are ready to eat. If you want to wash them, rinse and strain the portion needed for your meal, and store the rest in the refrigerator. Storing the greens with a little moisture is fine, but too much moisture may shorten the life of the greens.
